Finalmente Roma!

After all this time, we are finally in Rome!

The one thing that stood out to me was all the relics from Egypt. Like, how did they get them here? What ship can carry a pyramid? These are questions the world may never know.

The history running in this city is strong. You can feel the fall of the Egyptian empire and the others Rome conquered. Below is an Egyptian obelisk. The Roman empire really interested me as a kid. To be in it’s capital was a feeling hard to put in words.

Walking around the city was relaxing and interesting. I expected Rome for some reason to be made of gold and have fashion shows on every corner. Of course, I was wrong. It seemed like a typical historical city. It’s hard to be impressed, when you been to Prague. That was my mind set.

Eventually, we started to get to the tourist parts of rome. The Trevi fountain was truly beautiful. I didn’t expect Rome to be so charming after being disappointed with it’s appearance at first. This city is truly like a book. You can not judge it by it’s cover.

Thank you for taking your time to read. Next week we will be exploring more of Rome.

  1. Went to Rome, Florence, and Venice three months ago. I’m heading back to Rome in a few days. I love the city, and I’m glad you saw enjoyed the city. After visiting, I actually bought some books on Roman history.

  2. Florence was a love affair for me, and what can you say about Venice…? But I’ve never been sure I’d take Rome to my heart. Some day I may find out. 🙂 🙂

    1. Venice, is truly a beautiful city. It feels like the whole city is floating. No city like it. I have to say, out of all the cities in itay, Venice is my favorite. Go during spring. When it rains too much during fall and Winter, the canals get overfilled. You will have to duck alot when going under bridges. Spring is the best time because it is not too hot and you don’t have to worry about rain. 😁 Hope I helped.

  3. There is an Egyptian Museum in Turin and so I thought of all places I never expected it will be in Italy but found out they like digging in Egypt so you saying in Rome there’s a pyramid perhaps it’s because of the past they’re one of the first explorer in Egypt and they loved it obviously. I hope to visit Rome too someday!

    1. Haha you can tell they loved Egypt. Turin, I didn’t know there was an Egyptian museum. I think you told me when I posted about Turin. PS, I will be making post about Egypt soon
